I was a 35-year-old beginner; Gordon began building me from the ground up
I was a 35-year-old beginner when I began training with Gordon, with just a year’s prior martial arts experience. But from the very first session, Gordon began building me from the ground up. He casually explained that he'd be teaching me to hit harder and faster than I ever had before. Turns out, he wasn’t kidding. It’s not exaggerating to say that I learned more in those first two hours with Gordon than I had in the last few months.
Having fallen in love with martial arts (Muay Thai, in particular) slightly later in life than many people, I really wanted to learn fast and develop a rock-solid skillset that could take me anywhere. Gordon’s amazing insights and training methods were, frankly, transformative.
Beyond his exceptional technical ability and passion for martial arts, what’s special about Gordon is his teaching itself. He tailors the learning process to you personally, making training more fun, pushing you to go further and helping you make real (and occasionally mind-blowing!) progress with every session. He also makes you an active part of your own development, giving you the drills to keep on practicing between sessions and inspiring you to keep improving.
I know that experienced martial artists come to Gordon to sharpen skills they’ve been working on for decades. To benefit from these unique training insights as a near-beginner has been massive for me. I count myself very lucky indeed to have stumbled upon Combat Arts!
