SESSION TYPES

We offer a number of different ways to train so that you can choose which type of session suits you best...

1-2-1 or 1-2-2

For highly individualised and rapid growth, these sessions are a must. Here you will get the personal and specific input that will permit you to rapidly acquire the skills and understanding of these amazing martial arts. Progress is designed to accommodate your style and pace of learning as well as fit into your lifestyle demands. Often it can be better to train in a pair (if possible) as you will both retain different aspects of the material and you can do additional work together to move things along - you would have a training partner, a rare thing to have.

Small Groups

Groups of 4 - 6 persons, this method creates a group dynamic that is both fun and mutually supportive. These 'training pods' allow you to not only gain the skills but also learn how to coach and train your peers. Group sessions are held weekly at the same time and place so you can organise your busy diaries. For many, these sessions become the high point of their week - always fun, sometimes a challenge - something to look forward to. As your group progresses, a sense of team and camaraderie develops that aids learning and creates a fully supportive environment.

Workshops

Specialist events that usually focus on one or more specific aspects of martial arts training. Here the training protocols are directed in greater depth and your understanding and experience of them is massively increased. The material adds to your other training and should complement it. By the end of a workshop you will know exactly what you need to do to develop the relevant skills you experienced there - this includes the relevant drills and specialist equipment.

Masterclasses

A monthly group session open to all students of Combat Arts, past and present. The only criteria is that you have participated sufficiently with the Combat Arts instructors to understand the core skills and dynamics. This is a unique opportunity to train regularly with like-minded peers and instructors where you will experience different styles, energies and sizes. Truly an added bonus to your regular training.
