Having competed at various sports to a high level, my first experience at martial arts JKD, although I loved it, I realised very quickly that to learn, I needed to gain an understanding of one art first.
It was then that I was lucky enough to meet Gordon McAdam, who is not only a phenomenal martial artist but also a great teacher. It’s rare to find someone who is both - a fact endorsed by some of the country's top martial artists and his lineage.
A few humbling years later, and looking at past and present videos, I know Gordon has fast tracked my understanding of the art, and by default the ethos of JKD, as I now naturally fuse my Thai, Silat and Kali.
Gordon will without doubt help you increase power, speed, movement and technique, but the added bonus is the understanding of your own body. Every lesson is sweat, pain and most of all lots of fun.
I know I’ll forever be learning the art, gaining more power, speed, movement and skills, from someone I consider the best instructor there is... Gordon McAdam.
